Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky Area Auto Accident Claim Attorneys

Representing Western Kentucky & Middle Tennessee Personal Injury Clients over 30 Years

When someone is involved in an auto accident, they immediately begin to worry.  How will I pay my medical bills?  Who is going to cover repairs to my car?  What should I say when the other driver's insurance company calls me?  Do I need to call a lawyer?

At the Lucius Hawes Law Firm, we take a different approach.  Many other law firms attempt to convince potential clients that hiring an attorney immediately after an auto accident is essential. We believe this simply isn't the case. The world will not come crashing down upon you if you let things settle down a little bit before hiring an auto accident lawyer.   You may need a lawyer, and by all means contact a lawyer and ask questions and get "educated"; but no lawyer should try to pressure you or scare you into an immdeiate hiring decision.  A good lawyer in this kind of case will work with you without instisting that you sign a contract immediately.

Even though we don't promote hiring a lawyer immediately after an accident, we are still here for those who need us.  We are willing to answer your questions, advise you on what to say to insurance adjusters and build a trusting relationship before we ask you to sign a contract.  Even then, you are not obligated to hire us.   We are willing to make certain that you are informed about your options and the steps you can take with and without legal counsel.

No Apologies Needed

You don't need to "apologize" for being hurt in an accident that was not your fault.  With  all the talk about "frivolous lawsuits" and "insurace fraud", people often begin their conversations with us by apologizing for being in an accident, or insisting that they are not the kind of people who "do that".  You didn't ask to be involved involved in this situation; you didn't do anything wrong; you didn't ask to be hurt; and you don't need to apologize or explain, to us or to anyone else, that you are an honest citizen .

We believe people usually don't put themselves to the trouble of going to doctors, consulting with lawyers, going without pay while off work due to doctor's orders, etc, unless there is a legitimate, life-changing injury.   Just be honest; the facts are what they are.  All you are doing is telling the truth to someone who may be able to help get things back on track.
